Afshan sampler is a Border Vagireh plus an Afshan flower in the corner. Afshan is one of the most common flower motifs in Persian rugs. This flower is also known as the mother flower. Also included on top is a band of Persian/Farsi alphabet. From right to left you can find all 32 letters of the Farsi alphabet.

Model is stitched on 20 CT Aida in Vintage Country Mocha using Sulky 12wt in Chestnut (1189)
